Breeding

The breeding is based on mares that are coming out in competition (with embryo transfer), which doing competition or at least were tested on their jumping ability while justifying a top of range of genetic.
The stud welcomes the year the mares and foals that we are entrusted by their owners and which receive the same attention as those belonging to stud.
Thus we breed about 20 foals per generation which will have training to their 3 years old by riders of stud. They will do their learning to jumping again on the same site, this system permit us to know our products in sale, since we follow them since birth.
The stud welcomes also horses in retirement: competition horses who have finished their career or mares which by their advanced age can no longer reproduce
Facilities - Farming method :

60ha of pastures and paddocks around the Stud.
All horses are going in box for the winter or in stallings for the foals
The mares are in individual stallings or common, then in box for the foaling
The foals are breed in groups per years and sex. This forme of breeding permits a good learning of "life in society" which ensures a good mental balance.
Broodmares and foals are feeded with oats, barley and hay produced by the Villers Farm (400 ha of polyculture), a feed 'Destrier" coming in complement to ensure the ration balance.
